How I use mindfulness and hypnosis to create peace and wellness
I have come to a realization recently that my love for mindfulness and hypnosis has a powerful synergy that creates for me peace and wellness.
What is peace? What is wellness? It could mean something different to you then for me. What does it mean to me? Peace is the absence of stress and anxiety. To be confidently in control of my life. Wellness means to feel good, with energy and vitality. To know that my body has the resources to heal itself and manage pain.
I want to share my morning meditation process that I use to cancel anxiety and produce peace and create wellness.
This will be a step by step version. However, know this, there is no right or wrong way to do this…This is my process that I have created by first taking someone else’s step by step process and then with my daily practice, evolving into what works for me.
So let’s get to it
Step 1- I begin by setting a timer. I set mine to 15 min. If this is your 1st time, consider a shorter time.
Step 2- I take a few core breaths and release stuff
Step 3- I now bring my awareness to my breath. (this is mindful breathing meditation) I am aware of something about my breath. It can be my rhythm, the muscles used, the sound, etc. I focus on that for a few moments or minutes. When I feel sufficiently relaxed I move on.
Step 4- I begin to say thank you for whatever I am grateful for. For my angels and guides light and guidance, for things in my life, whatever comes to mind…
Step 5- I now move into self- hypnosis. This phase is imagination and emotion. I visualize what I want and how it would feel if I had it now.
What do I mean?
This requires some explanation. Say, I am experiencing some anxiety about a person or situation. I would not spend any time on ‘what if’ this or that …..only on what I want to happen. I am sending my energy into the universe that I want this to happen or something better!
In this way, I am shutting down anxiety and empowering myself. Same, if I am fighting illness, I only think about what I want…me feeling better and what I would be doing in wellness. This sends a strong message to my/your subconscious mind that I / you expect to feel better soon.
Step 6-Stay with this visual and emotion until the timer rings and then thank the universe / Divine or God and begin to bring yourself back to alertness feeling inspired, empowered and amazing.
Step 7- After my mindfulness / self-hypnosis session, while I am still in a state of deep relaxation, I grab my journal and move into an automatic writing session. This is a powerful ending to my session. Perhaps, a limiting belief, block, frustration or something else popped up during the meditation. (Sometimes I am aware of it and sometimes it is just below my conscious awareness)
This journal session is where I can flush it out and eliminate it for good. I can create action plans, affirmations, healing, inspiration, motivation and / or excitement of my goals. It is a powerful ending to the meditation / self-hypnosis session.
My Super Power
This is why mindfulness and hypnosis is my Super Power. Mindfulness has the power to produce relaxation, easily and quickly, opening the door to your subconscious mind. Then following up with self-hypnosis manifesting what you want both in your subconscious mind and with your energy sending your manifesting vibration into the universe. This synergy is empowering, healing and calming.
